Green Up: Activating Young Minds

Green Up: Activating Young Minds is a six-week online course for educators in youth development from Kyiv and the Kyiv region from America House Kyiv. Learn how to implement project-based eco-learning in classrooms and beyond, stimulate eco-awareness and English-language learning in youth audiences, and encourage the next generation of changemakers.

The program will provide a framework that integrates English language education and project-based learning, as applied to different instructional and cultural contexts such as the United States and Ukraine. Over the six weeks, participants will learn the principles of sustainability, review past projects, use tools and inquiry methods to construct a project proposal, identify and use resources to build their projects, and transform and evaluate the results of their implemented project.

The goal of this series is for participants to create their own Eco-PBL (Eco-Project Based Learning) project that empowers youth to become environmental stewards advocating on a global stage to confront climate change.
