The right to vote, a fair trial, government services, public education, and using public facilities are examples of civil rights ensured to all Americans by law. To make sure our rights and our future generation's rights are protected, we must teach ourselves and our students about them! Let's learn about how we can teach our students about these topics to keep them informed and safe.

"Teachers Training: Beyond the Curriculum" is a series of open virtual workshops from America House Kyiv. Work with English Language Resident, Meagan Abrahamsson and other educators from Ukraine to learn how to implement critical lessons through human rights education in your classrooms. You will learn new approaches through theory and practice, completing exercises and executing your own capstone project. Take an active part in a dialogue on fostering understanding and values through education, exchange experience, and expand your network!
This 8-session web series dedicated to human rights education in the classroom will take place weekly on Mondays at 5:00 PM Kyiv time through September-October 2022.
Join any session that interests you or register for the Certificate track: attend at least 6 six sessions and complete all activities to earn a Certificate in Humans Rights Education Basics from America House Kyiv.
