TED English

TED English is online dialogues around TED talks! Each 45-minute session will feature a cool and informative TED Talk, coupled with Q & A and discussion about the meaning and language used in the talk. By joining this program you’ll get the opportunity to talk about vocabulary and grammar from the TED talk, react to the topic discussed in the talk, and interact with a huge community of people online through a discussion facilitated by America House’s very own English language Resident!

During this session we will discuss TED Talk by Haas and Hahn: How painting can transform communities: https://bit.ly/2Ro3m0V

Artists Jeroen Koolhaas and Dre Urhahn create community art by painting entire neighborhoods, and involving those who live there - from the favelas of Rio to the streets of North Philadelphia. What's made their projects succeed? In this funny and inspiring talk, the artists explain their art-first approach - and the importance of a neighborhood barbecue.

This TED English session will be on Monday September 21st at 5:00 PM.

The deadline to register is September 21st by 12:00 PM. Before the session you'll receive an email with the link to the online meeting.
