As we navigate through difficult experiences, many of us are feeling stress, anxiety or burnout. Developing resilience, or the ability to adapt in spite of these circumstances, is crucial to our longevity, health, and wellbeing.
In this series, Alexa Brand, a specialist in resilience & inclusion and IREX, will be leading discussions on stress and burnout and the ways they manifest themselves physically and emotionally. The series will pay particular attention to ways in which we can check our “engine lights” when we are feeling downtrodden, as well as brainstorm ways we can build our resilience.
This training will focus on the core Six Dimensions of wellness and resilience. Topics include, but are not limited to, emergency self-care, coping mechanisms, stages of grief, trauma-informed care, developing self-care or resilience strategies, among others.
