We believe in the power of stories.  Stories are what connect, motivate, and uplift, us. If you have a story to tell, this is your chance. We are looking for real people telling stories that we can relate to in a genuine, understandable way – people who can show us what can be accomplished by the Power of Two.

At America House, to show our commitment to gender equality, we support the voices of both women and men and who can truly show us what it means to have gender balance. Do you have that voice and want to tell your own story about the Power of Two? If so, you don't need to have any public speaking experience, all you need is a speaking partner of the opposite sex, a cool story, and willingness to share.

We’ll help you with your public speaking by providing you with exclusive rehearsal sessions with America House’s Resident English Language Specialist (great chance to brush up your public speaking skills), who will also work with you on your speech to make sure that you and your partner deliver the most inspiring talk yet. You will meet like-minded people and inspiring change-makers.

So, take your partner, your colleague, your sibling, your spouse or a friend of the opposite sex and tell us your story about what you and your partner have done to enact gender balance, equality, and positive change!  Whether you’re a married couple who is redefining the meaning of marriage and love, professional colleagues who sparked a new and fresh project, or a pair of any type (teacher -  student / father – daughter / doctor – patient, you name it) who made a change in your own or the lives of others through creativity and perseverance.

The Change Talk event will take place on March 26th, 7 pm at America House.

Besides bring change and inspiration to your community you’ll have the chance to win the “Best Public Speakers”, “Best Storytellers”, or “People’s Choice” award, each award comes with a prize.

P.S. Your stories = your superpowers!
